Mr. Iqbal Singh Sandhu is the Administrator of this website and a retired as Senior PCS Officer from the Government of Punjab. During his distinguished career, he served in various key administrative roles across Punjab, including Naib Tehsildar (1988–1994) in Ludhiana, Dudan Sadhan (Patiala), Rajpura, Patiala, Nabha, Bhawanigarh, and Malerkotla, Tehsildar (1994–2004) in Abohar, Fazilka, Kharar, Pathankot, Phagwara, Sunam, and Jalandhar (PWD), District Revenue Officer (2004) in Ferozepur, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) (2004–2006) in Kapurthala. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) (2004–2014) in Moga, Phillour, Garhshankar, Gurdaspur, Batala, Pathankot, Makodar, Jalandhar, Phagwara, and Shahkot, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Phagwara, Chairman, Improvement Trust, Phagwara and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), in Phagwara, Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana ( 2014-2020)………………

The Sandhu Family Legacy
Our beloved parents, Late Mr. Sant Ram Sandhu and Late Mrs. Joginder Kaur Sandhu, were among the countless families who courageously rebuilt their lives after migrating during the Partition – our father from Lyallpur (now Faisalabad) and our mother from 79-Chak in Punjab (Pakistan). Their journey symbolizes the resilience of an entire generation My father Late Mr. Sant Ram Sandhu and his brother Late Mr. Kundan Lal Sandhu both sons of Mr. Budhu Ram Sandhu established their new beginnings in Village Kingra Cho Wala near Bhogpur, Jalandhar. ………
History of Sandhus
The Sandhu tribe is a popular tribe in the Punjab. After Sidhu Brar in Punjab, Sandhu is the second largest tribe in terms of number. Their main locations are Lahore and Amritsar districts. The Sandhu community is situated along the River Satluj and lies on both sides. From east to Ambala to the west, Sandhu, district, winter coat and Gujranwala’s hill areas are also available in large numbers. The famous Sikh of Guru Nanak was Bhai Bala and the great Shaheed Bhagat Singh from India was from Sandhu dynasty. The Sandhu Jatta thinks that he belongs to Raghubanshi Kuli of sun lords Rajputs through Raja Ram (Punjab)…………

Surjit Hockey Academy, Jalandhar
With Aim to promote hockey and to explore new “SURJIT” among the budding players, Surjit Hockey Academy for local boys of Jalandhar and neighbouring districts with a sperate identity, started their activities with 10 players during the COVID-19 pandemic, after relaxation in gathering. Now, more than 200 players are attending this coaching centre, here at Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar.
Players under age group of 5 and 16 years are given training by the expert coaches like Olympian Rajinder Singh, Daronacharaya Awardee, Ms. Pardeep Kaur, NIS trained Hockey Coach, Mrs. Sita Devi, NIS trained Hockey Coach, Prof. Balwinder Singh, Coach, Mrs. Bindu, Former National Player and Mr. Naresh Kumar Nangal, Coach………………………..

With the earnest efforts of the hockey loving people of Punjab & players like Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Mr. Lakhwinder Pal Singh Khaira, Mr. Tarlok Singh Bhullar, Mr. Ram Partap, Ravinder Pal Singh PISCO, Mr. Baldev Singh Randhawa, Mr. Surinder Singh Bhapa, Parveen Gupta, Mohainder Singh Bhapa and many more formed a Surjit Hockey Society (Regd.), Jalandhar, in 1984 with a pledge to keep the name of Sardar Surjit Singh………
