15 players from Punjab to participate in International Hockey Cup Melbourne
Will play for Punjab Warriors Club under the leadership of Olympian Gurjit Kaur
Jalandhar, September 18 ( ) 15 players from Punjab will participate in the International Hockey Cup to be held in Melbourne, Australia from October 2 to October 5. Giving information in this regard, Hockey Punjab General Secretary Amrik Singh Powar said that these players will participate from Punjab Warriors Club under the leadership of Olympian Gurjit Kaur. Apart from Punjab Warriors, teams from New South Wales (Australia), New Zealand and Japan are participating in this tournament. Apart from Olympian Gurjit Kaur, these players include Simranjit Kaur, Sharanjit Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Neha Kumari, Gurpreet Kaur (Senior), Navdeep Kaur, Daljit Kaur, Pardeep Kaur, Meenakshi, Kirandeep Kaur, Kamalpreet Kaur, Harpreet and Nirmal Kaur. The camp of these players is going on at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium. These players will leave on September 28 and return on October 8. These players have been given permission by Hockey India and these players are registered with Hockey Punjab. Kulbir Singh will accompany the team as in-charge. On this occasion, Olympian Rajinder Singh, Technical Lead of Round Glass, Lakhwinder Pal Singh Khaira of Surjit Hockey Society, Surinder Singh Bhapa, Iqbal Singh Sandhu were specially present.
